The devotional also highlights the powerful prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9–10. Jabez refused to accept a life of hardship and sorrow. Instead, he cried out to God for blessing, enlargement, protection, and divine help. The Bible records that God granted his request, proving that when believers ask God for help sincerely, He responds.

Another example mentioned is Jacob, whose life was filled with struggles until he surrendered completely to God. In Genesis 32:24–32, Jacob wrestled in prayer until his life was transformed and he received a new name. That moment marked the end of a life of struggle and the beginning of divine favor.
